Peptide Bond

Peptide bond formation involves a transfer of the existing peptidyl group from peptidyl-tRNA in the P-site to the a-amino group of the incoming aminoacyl--tRNA in the A-site. In this way, synthesis of the protein proceeds from the N-terminus to the C-terminus.
