The Diabetic Dog Game - Help

Aim of the game:

You have to take care of your diabetic dog as good as you can – by keeping the blood sugar level around “normal” for as long as possible each day. There is no high score, but you can find other player's results in the “Diabetic Dog Database”, where you can find out who has earned most money, bought the most expensive equipment for his/her dog and so on.

Health bonus:
The longer time the blood sugar level is kept "normal" the more bonus/money you will get after each day.

Attention bonus:
Every time you cuddle long enough with the dog, he/she will feel good and the pupils in the eyes turn into hearts. Every time this happens you'll get bonus points. Also, you get bonus points each time you do as the dog wants – give him/her food when he/she is hungry and take the dog on a walk when he/she wants to.

b) You can see the clock in the bar at the bottom of the game window.
If the blood sugar level gets too high or too low without you doing anything about it, your dog will be taken from you.

If the blood sugar level is too high you have to give the dog insulin. Click on the insulin syringe icon and drag the insulin syringe to the dog. You can read about this state in the "Dog owner's manual"!

4.
a) If the blood sugar level is too low, the dog may have got too much insulin, or haven't eaten properly.
b) Buy the dog some food, or, if the blood sugar level is very low, by the dog sugar in a form as pure as possible (for example honey). You don't have to care about drinking – this is taken care of automatically.

When the hand with a red heart appears – place it over the dog and press the mouse button. If you keep it like this long enough the dog will be satisfied - the dog gets hearts in his/her eyes. Every time this happens you'll get bonus points.

b) Click on the "Walk the dog"-button and thereafter, move the mouse cursor around the screen.
(If the dog has too low or too high blood sugar it won't work to click on the "walk the dog" button as the dog is in a too bad shape for walking.)

Here you can see the status on all registered dogs and sort the list depending on the caretaker's total value of money and owned items or the dogs current blood sugar, for example.

Always make sure that you have money to buy food for your dog before you buy anything else!
