Nobel Events in Stockholm and Oslo 2005

 

The Nobel Prizes in Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature and the Bank of Sweden Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel are awarded in Stockholm, where the Laureates in these categories participate in an extensive programme during the Nobel Week. The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded in Oslo, Norway, where the Laureate attends the traditional events of the Nobel Days. The programme below presents the public Nobel Events of 2005.

Press conference for the Laureates in Physics, Chemistry and the Prize Winners in Economics at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (KVA), Frescativägen 4A, 9:00 a.m.

Press conference for the Laureates in Physiology or Medicine at the Nobel Forum, Karolinska Institutet (KI), Nobels väg 1, 11:00 a.m.

Nobel Lecture in Literature at the Swedish Academy, Källargränd 4, 5:30 p.m.

December 8
Nobel Lectures in Physics, Aula Magna, Stockholm University, 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
Open to the public, admission free.
Followed by a short press conference (press card required).

Nobel Lectures in Chemistry, Aula Magna, Stockholm University, 12 noon-2:30 p.m.
Open to the public, admission free.
Followed by a short press conference (press card required).

Nobel Lectures in Physiology or Medicine in Adam Lecture Hall, Berzeliuslaboratoriet, Karolinska Institutet (KI), 1:50 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Open to the public, admission free.

Prize Lectures in Economics, at Beijersalen, at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, 3:00 p.m.-4:40 p.m.
Open to the public, admission free.
Followed by a short press conference (press card required). This programme is preliminary.

Nobel Prize Award Ceremony, Stockholm Concert Hall, 4:30 p.m.
Nobel Banquet, Stockholm City Hall, 7:00 p.m.

Nobel Peace Prize Award Ceremony, including the Nobel Lecture, Oslo City Hall, 1:00 p.m.
