Live Broadcasts 2014

Live Broadcasts from the Nobel Prize events on 10 December

Nobel Media holds the rights to and distributes live broadcasts in HD from the Nobel Prize Award Ceremony Stockholm, The Nobel Banquet Stockholm, and the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony Oslo internationally. Each year on 10 December, live feeds from these events are available directly through Nobel Media AB. Please see below for more information on each event and contact broadcast@nobelmedia.se for information on licensing procedures and fees.

In conjunction with these events, on-site broadcast services in Stockholm and Oslo are available through the host broadcasters. For information on this and how to set up TV or radio interviews with the Laureates in December, please see contact details below relevant to each event and location.

The Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony in Oslo

In Oslo, the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony takes place at the Oslo City Hall and is exclusively filmed and broadcast live by NRK, the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, on 10 December at approx. 11:50 GMT-13:30 GMT. To license the feed, please contact broadcast@nobelmedia.se no later than 26 November 2014.

In cooperation with NRK, a commentary booth is available for use at Oslo City Hall. Please contact hilde.zwaig.kolstad@nrk.no for further information.

For individual TV or radio interviews with the Nobel Laureates during their Oslo visit in December, please contact the Norwegian Nobel Committee, gl@nobel.no.

The Nobel Prize Award Ceremony
& Nobel Banquet in Stockholm

The Nobel Prize Award Ceremony Stockholm is exclusively filmed and broadcast live by SVT, the Swedish public service broadcaster, on 10 December at approx. 15:30-17:00 GMT, with a signal start at 15:20 GMT. During this broadcast, the Nobel Prizes in Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature and the Prize in Economic Sciences are awarded by the Swedish King at the Stockholm Concert Hall.

Following the Ceremony in Stockholm, the Nobel Banquet takes place at the Stockholm City Hall where a selection of Laureates give a Banquet Speech at approx. 21:00 GMT. A live feed of the Banquet Speeches is available via Nobel Media at approx. 21:00-21:40 GMT, with a signal start at 20:50 GMT. To license these feeds, please contact broadcast@nobelmedia.se no later than 26 November 2014.

Outside the live broadcasts transmission times, there are on-site broadcast services such as stand-up positions at both Nobel Prize event locations in Stockholm being provided by SVT, Swedish Television on 9-10 December. Please contact broadcast@nobelmedia.se no later than 26 November 2014.
