Global education effort will deliver broadcast, interactive and on-campus programs in the sciences
Morris Township, N.J. and Stockholm - 5 April 2006: Honeywell (NYSE: HON), Nobel Media AB and Nobel Web AB announced today the launch of a global science education effort that will connect university students with recipients of the world's most prestigious award, the Nobel Prize. The Honeywell - Nobel Initiative will enable students worldwide to learn directly from Nobel Laureates in Chemistry and Physics by combining live on-campus events, interactive content and broadcast programs.

The work will be carried out through Nobel Media AB and Nobel Web AB, the subsidiaries of the Nobel Foundation Rights Association, and Honeywell Hometown Solutions, the philanthropic arm of Honeywell. As part of the Initiative, Honeywell will become a global sponsor of Nobel Media's Nobel Prize Series® and Nobel Web's educational section on Nobelprize.org™.

The Honeywell - Nobel Initiative will consist of three core elements:
Nobel Minds: Honeywell will become the exclusive Global Sponsor of Nobel Minds, a 60-minute Nobel Prize Series® broadcast that brings together the current year's Laureates for a discussion on issues of global concern. Nobel Minds is broadcast each year in December on BBC World and other terrestrial networks, reaching 98 territories and 276 million households.
Honeywell Nobel Laureate Lecture Series: Honeywell, in cooperation with Nobel Media and Nobel Web, will host on-campus events with Nobel Laureates in Chemistry and Physics at select universities in China, Czech Republic, India and the United States, including historically black colleges and universities, over the next three years. Visiting Laureates will participate in a number of on-campus events, including: public lecture, 'master class' with science or engineering students and reception with faculty and university officials.
Honeywell Nobel Interactive Studio: Honeywell, Nobel Media and Nobel Web will cooperate to produce an online forum showcasing recent Laureates in Chemistry and Physics to help explain the science behind their Nobel Prizes. The first three Nobel Laureates that will be profiled are Steven Chu, 1997 Nobel Laureate in Physics, Leon Lederman, 1988 Nobel Laureate in Physics, and Mario Molina, 1995 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry. The Honeywell Nobel Interactive Studio will be launched in July 2006 and accessible through www.honeywell.com.
