A Summary

Watch a short video summary of the Nobel Banquet on 10 December 1998, starting at the Stockholm City Hall in Sweden, where the distinguished guests arrive and walk in a procession to the Blue Hall. Banquet speeches are given by the 1998 Laureates: José Saramago, Nobel Laureate in Literature (1:59), Robert F. Furchgott, Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine, (4:43), John A. Pople, Nobel Laureate in Chemistry (7:12), Robert B. Laughlin, Nobel Laureate in Physics (9:36) and Amartya Sen, Economics Laureate (12:11). The after dinner dancing takes place in the Golden Hall (14:50).
