| "Kiss of Death" The proteins that are to be destructed are marked with a label - the molecule ubiquitin. Proteins so labelled are then rapidly broken down – degraded – in cellular "waste disposers" called proteasomes. Dödsmärkning De proteiner som ska förstöras förses med en "etikett", molekylen ubiquitin. De märkta proteinerna bryts sedan snabbt ner i cellulära "avfallskvarnar" som kallas proteasomer. |
