Butler advocated peace, international cooperation and arbitration. He supported the Briand-Kellogg Pact, and he promoted international understanding. Butler also assisted in the establishment of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, of which he was a trustee and later president (1925-45). 1932 Myslicki Brown Brown was Honorary Secretary of the War Resisters International (1923-1949), an association of conscientious objectors to military service. The association opposed any participation in, or preparations to war. Brown was a Christian pacifist. Show »
