Nobel Week 2021

Nobel Week 2021 takes place on 6–12 December in Stockholm and Oslo. Many of the events will be streamed and possible to follow online.

The schedule is a preliminary program; more events may be added. Please check back. We appreciate your patience. For some of the events, media will have the possibility to apply for accreditation. Read a detailed programme here.

Ceremonial presentations

The Nobel Peace Prize laureates are invited to receive their Nobel Peace Prize diplomas and medals during the award ceremony in Oslo City Hall on 10 December. All other laureates will receive their Nobel Prize diplomas and medals in their home countries. These presentation events will be woven together with a prize award ceremony at the Stockholm City Hall, with a local audience present.

Nobel Week Lights

For the second straight year, the artistic light installations of Nobel Week Lights Stockholm − running from 4 to 12 December – will be part of the Nobel Week festivities. The around 20 artistic lighting installations have all been inspired in one way or another by the Nobel Prize and by Nobel Prize-awarded achievements.
