The 2017 Nobel Peace Prize Forum Oslo, "Across Dividing Lines", will address indigenous rights within the context of social justice and environmental protection.

Rigoberta Menchú Tum2017 marks the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples as well as the 25th anniversary of Dr. Rigoberta Menchú Tum receiving the Nobel Peace Prize for her work with indigenous peoples' rights. What better opportunity, then, for the Nobel Peace Prize Forum Oslo to invite Dr. Menchú Tum to talk about the state of affairs concerning indigenous peoples in the world?

Peace Prize Forum.

This year's Forum Seeks to provide a platform for dialogue and experience share for representatives of the Standing Rock conflict in the Standing Rock Indian Reservation in North Dakota, US, and the Nussir copper mine conflict in the municipality of Kvalsund, Norway.

2017 Nobel Peace Prize Forum Oslo is held at 11 December 2017, 10.00 a.m.-11.30 a.m. at the University of Oslo, the Aula, Karl Johans gate 47.

The event is open for media and can offer live-stream feed.
