Today, artificial intelligence has moved beyond being a mere tool for scientific research. It is transforming the ways discoveries are made, the speed of research, the structure of collaboration, and even the standards of validation. 

At the same time, AI is driving profound changes across society as a whole—including education, industry, healthcare, culture, labor, and public policy—promising to reshape the way we live. 

While AI greatly expands the possibilities of science, it also raises new questions about the reliability of data, algorithmic transparency, the propriatary nature of AI technologies and the role of human judgment and creativity, alongside the broader societal impact of technological change. 

The 2026 Nobel Prize Dialogue in Seoul asks how AI will transform the future of science, and seeks to explore what these changes mean for our ability to develop scientific solutions to the urgent challenges we face. 

Bringing Nobel Prize laureates together with a diverse group of leading scholars and experts, this Nobel Prize Dialogue aims to frame the next questions for science, and help plot the next directions for society.
