This session will examine how the deep learning revolution is already being applied across STEM fields and explore how AI may transform science in the future.

Maximising the benefits

This session will address key challenges such as data heterogeneity, algorithmic transparency, the propriatary nature of AI technologies, access to resources, and gaps in workforce and capabilities, while exploring ways to maximise the impact of AI in science.

Coexisting with AI – the way forward

This session will discuss what regulatory and policy frameworks are needed to ensure the responsible use of AI, and to guide us toward the future we aspire to.
