Life With AI

Nobel Week Dialogue

9 December 2026
10:00–15:30
House of People, Stockholm, Sweden

The 2026 Nobel Week Dialogue will focus on artificial intelligence, increasingly described as the most consequential technology in history.

Today we see AI tools rapidly becoming more powerful. Advocates highlight AI’s potential to serve humanity and the promise that it will contribute to major scientific advances. Some early promise has become reality, but many warn of risks to society – to the future of work, education and democracy – or even existential risk.

Why are experts so divided on opportunities and risks? Given this uncertainty, how should we map our path to living with AI, and how can we ensure its benefits are shared to the fullest extent?

Speakers include Nobel Prize laureates Philippe Aghion (economic sciences 2025), John Jumper (chemistry 2024) and David MacMillan (chemistry 2021).

Registration will open in mid-October.
