The interviewer is Adam Smith, Editor-in-Chief of  Jack Steinberger talks about meeting students in Lindau, moving from Germany to the United States before World War II (4:57), how the war caused him to change from studying chemistry to physics (7:21), the inspiration provided by his graduate mentor Enrico Fermi (12:24), the importance of luck (16:22), his thoughts on receiving the Nobel Prize (19:35), and why he has now turned his attention from particle physics to astrophysics (26:15).
