Prize announcement

Announcement of the 2006 Nobel Prize in Chemistry to Roger D. Kornberg, presented by Professor Gunnar Öquist, Secretary General of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, on 4 October 2006.

A presentation on the prize-awarded work was held by Professor Lars Thelander.


Following the announcement, Professor Astrid Gräslund, Secretary for the Nobel Committee for Chemistry, was interviewed by freelance journalist Marika Griehsel about the 2006 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry and his work.
