Desmond Tutu
Documentary
The 1984 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Bishop Desmond Tutu, returned to his native South Africa on 18 October to a rapturous and emotional reception by his supporters, both black and white. Bishop Tutu went straight to his office, where he was welcomed by leading white anti-apartheid campaigner Beyers Naude. Speaking at the press conference later in the day, Bishop Tutu said there could be no real peace where there was injustice, and that violence was not the way to achieve peace.
