Metathesis – a change-your-partners dance
Chauvins' mechanism can be viewed as a dance in which the "catalyst pair" (black hair = catalyst) and the "alkene pair" dance around and change partners with one another.

Metates – en dans med partnerbyte
Yves Chauvins mekanism kan beskrivas som en dans, där "katalysatorparet" (svart hår = katalysator) och "alkenparet" dansar runt och byter partner med varandra.
