The 2021 Nobel Peace Prize award ceremony takes place in Oslo City Hall on 10 December – the anniversary of Alfred Nobel’s death. At the ceremony, the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded to the Nobel Peace Prize laureates.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee is expecting both Maria Ressa and Dmitry Muratov to attend the award ceremony in Oslo. Last year’s laureate will also attend the ceremony. The World Food Programme, which was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for 2020, will be represented at the ceremony by its Executive Director, David Beasley. Musical interludes will be interwoven with a speech by the Chair of the Nobel Committee. The laureates will also hold their Nobel Prize lectures.
