Anna Sjöström Douagi is the deputy CEO of NGI and has been head of Nobel Prize Outreach since January 2025.

Anna Sjöström Douagi is the deputy CEO of NGI and has been head of Nobel Prize Outreach since January 2025. In 2024 she served as acting CEO of the Nobel Foundation after holding the position as vice president of strategic initiatives at the Nobel Foundation.

Prior to joining the Nobel Sphere in 2016, she was the founder and inaugural CEO of  the Young Academy of Sweden, a platform for the most talented young researchers in Sweden on the initiative of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. She also has an extensive experience in international science policy, serving as international advisor at the Swedish Research Council during 2003-2010.

Sjöström Douagi holds a PhD in immunology from Karolinska  Institutet  and is an elected member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. She was awarded the Ordre des  Palmes Académiques  by the French Republic for her distinguished services to  science, and  serves in several boards and committees both nationally and internationally.
