Motivation:Moscheles had been working for peace since he became member of the Peace Association in 1878. Member of the Committee of the International Arbitration and Peace Association in 1880 and executive chairman of the Association from 1897. Promoted peace, international arbitration and pacifism. Peckover founded the Wisbech Local Peace Association. Editor and publisher of the journal "Peace and Goodwill" and supported peace work outside of Great Britain.
