Press conference for Nobel Week
Meet the chef and the pastry chef for the Nobel Prize banquet, whose names will be announced at the press conference. You will also hear from students at Beckmans College of Design who have interpreted the Nobel Prizes via fashion creations. The detailed press programme for the week will also be handed out.

Guided tour Konserthuset Stockholm (Stockholm Concert Hall)
Konserthuset Stockholm is a neoclassical masterpiece and, every year, the arena for the Nobel Prize award ceremony. Join a guided tour with a special focus on what happens in the building on 10 December when the prizes are being awarded. Photo and video opportunities for media. The tour is now fully booked.

Sneak peek: Nobel Week Lights
Get a sneak peek of some of the artworks and meet some of the artists of this year’s Nobel Week Lights. Last preparations are made, and the artworks are tested. Warm clothes and good shoes are recommended. Photo and video opportunities for media. We meet up by the City Hall and go for a tour in the city.

Media are welcome to the banquet kitchen in Stockholm City Hall, for interviews with this year’s chef, pastry chef, and head chef Gunnar Eriksson. There are opportunities on 7 December and 8 December, between 09:00 and 15:00. All visits need to be booked in advance. The accreditation has now closed.

Artefacts from the Nobel Prize laureates
Every year the Nobel Prize laureates gather at the Nobel Prize Museum in the begining of the Nobel Week. As a tradition they hand over an artefact to the museum and sign a chair. The new artefacts will be on display in the museum for media. Curators from the museum will tell the stories of the objects. (The laureates will not participate at this occasion.) You can drop in at any time between 11:30 and 12:30.

Press tour with focus on Japanese laureates
At the Nobel Prize Museum, the exhibition These Things Change the World is on display. More than 250 artefacts from Nobel Prize laureates bear witness to revolutionary inventions, courageous peace efforts, groundbreaking ideas and innovative literature. During this guided tour, museum experts will highlight around 25 artefacts donated by Japanese Nobel Prize laureates over the years. We will end the tour in the bistro to talk about the Nobel ice cream and the popular chocolate medals. The tour is now fully booked.

The Nobel Prize Museum is open during the Nobel Day for media and visitors. During the Nobel Day, the museum is filled with festive activities, and you can follow the live broadcast from the Nobel Prize ceremony in Stockholm. Photo and video opportunities for media.

Stand up positions, Stockholm City Hall
Stand up positions for broadcast media in allocated positions inside Stockholm City Hall, before the Nobel Prize banquet.
Ten-minute slots, 350 €. Tape or live. SVT provides cameraman and equipment.

Broadcast services
During the prize award ceremony, the Nobel Prize laureates receive a diploma and medal from HM The King. Speeches are given by representatives from the prize-awarding institutions. The speeches can be obtained against embargo on 5 December via [email protected]
The diplomas will be published on nobelprize.org on 10 December and can be obtained here.

Nobel Week Lights is an artistic tribute to the Nobel Prize laureates and their achievements. The light installations will be shown outdoors in Stockholm 6 December–14 December, 16:00–22:00. More information

For the first time, the Nobel Prize Museum is displaying a large selection of items from its collection of artefacts from Nobel Prize laureates. These objects tell stories of remarkable discoveries and life achievements. More than 250 artefacts bear witness to revolutionary inventions, courageous peace efforts, groundbreaking ideas and innovative literature.
