Press release from the Nobel Foundation

The Nobel Week press programmes have now been published

5 November 2025 View in Swedish

The press programmes for the Nobel Week in Oslo and Stockholm have now been published with many activities that media can attend.

Since 1901, Nobel Prize laureates have received their diplomas and medals at ceremonies in Stockholm and Oslo. The Nobel Day, 10 December, begins with the award ceremony for this year’s Nobel Peace Prize laureates in Oslo. This is followed by the award ceremony in Stockholm for the laureates in physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature and economic sciences. In the evening, there will be banquets in both Oslo and Stockholm to celebrate this year’s laureates. But the celebration of the laureates includes many more activities that media representatives can attend that starts already 6 December in Stockholm and 8 December in Oslo.

Oslo

In Oslo, the media are invited to a press conference, a torchlight procession, a party where seventh graders get to meet this year’s laureate and then the opening of a new peace prize exhibition at the Nobel Peace Center.

You can find the full press programme for Oslo here. The banquet in Norway may only be attended by media representatives who have been invited.

Stockholm

In Stockholm the programme includes press conferences, Nobel Prize lectures and the Nobel Week Dialogue, this year on the theme of “Health for all”. The media are invited to look at the artefacts that the laureates donate to the Nobel Prize Museum, and there will be numerous guided tours of the artistic light installations in this year’s Nobel Week Lights festival.
