Motivation:Grey was nominated for his efforts to prevent World War I. He was responsible for the Treaty of London (1915) by which Italy joined the Allies, and he tried to obtain US support for the Allies. In 1919 he went to the US in an attempt to secure US entry into the League of Nations.
