4 (of 4) Jane Addams nomination for Carl von Ossietzky. Jane Addams, awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1931, was the first to nominate Carl von Ossietzky. The nomination arrived to the Norwegian Nobel Committee on 15 November 1934, and Carl von Ossietzky was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize the next year.
