Ceremonies and speeches – Nobel Day
Nobel Prize Outreach holds the rights to and distributes live broadcasts in HD from the Nobel Prize award ceremony in Stockholm, the Nobel Prize banquet in Stockholm, and the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo internationally.
Each year on 10 December, live feeds from these events are coordinated by Eurovision News/EBU. You may license the material and get signals from EBU, even if you are not an EBU-member. Rights are available via Nobel Prize Outreach.

Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo – live
In Oslo, the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony takes place at the Oslo City Hall and is exclusively filmed and broadcast live by NRK, the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, on 10 December at approx. 11:50 GMT-13:40 GMT. During this broadcast, the Nobel Peace Prize laureates receive their awards and give their lecture.

Nobel Prize award ceremony and banquet speeches in Stockholm – live
The Nobel Prize award ceremony Stockholm is exclusively filmed and broadcast live by SVT, the Swedish public service broadcaster, on 10 December at approx. 15:30-17:00 GMT, with a signal starting at 15:20 GMT. During this broadcast, the Nobel Prize laureates in physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature and the prize in economic sciences receive their awards from the Swedish King at Konserthuset in Stockholm (Stockholm Concert Hall.)
Following the ceremony in Stockholm, the Nobel Prize banquet takes place at Stockholm City Hall where one laureate from each prize category gives an acceptance speech at approx. 21:00 GMT. A live feed is available at approx. 21:00-21:40 GMT, with a signal starting at 20:50 GMT.

Takers have the right:
- To broadcast the material in its entirety live on television, with one repeat within 48 hours.
- To stream the material in its entirety live on the Taker’s website and internet enabled devices and for a period of seven days until midnight 17 December.
- To broadcast edits of the material on television and online news/current affairs/weekly magazine programs until 10 January the following year.

Nobel Prize lectures

Recordings of the Nobel Prize lectures are available for television broadcasting after the event. For access to the recordings the same day as the event, deadline 5 December. Please contact [email protected] for licensing.
Nobel Prize Concert
The concert is held every year on 8 December in Stockholm Concert Hall and broadcasted on Swedish television and nobelprize.org a few days later.
To request license to broadcast a recording of the concert, please contact [email protected]. The concert is also distributed for radio via EBU Music Exchange platform.
The classical music concert features internationally renowned musicians and conductors, and is held annually to honour the year’s Nobel Prize laureates. It is attended by members of the Swedish royal family, Nobel Prize laureates and guests, and today has become a highlight of the Nobel Prize calendar. Read more
