Lisen Schultz

Lisen Schultz is deputy science director at the Stockholm Resilience Centre, Stockholm University where she leads research on biosphere stewardship.

Lisen Schultz is a sustainability scientist and holds a PhD in natural resource management since 2009. She is based at the Stockholm Resilience Centre, Stockholm University, where she is deputy science director and leading the research on biosphere stewardship. She is also programme director of the centre’s executive program ‘Transformative business leadership for a prosperous planet’, designed to connect CEOs and board members of large companies to the frontiers of sustainability science.

Her empirical research focuses on management and governance of UNESCO biosphere reserves across the globe. She is deeply engaged in the interface between theory and action and has extensive experience of facilitating dialogues across disciplines and cultures.
