Prize announcement
Announcement of the 2006 Nobel Prize in Physics to John C. Mather and George F. Smoot, presented by Professor Gunnar Öquist, Secretary General of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, on 3 October 2006.
A presentation of the prize-awarded work was held by Professor Lars Bergström.
Following the announcement, Professor Per Carlson was interviewed by freelance journalist Jan-Olov Johansson about the 2006 Nobel Laureates in Physics.
