Anne Muthoni is a climate change enthusiast and holds a bachelor’s degree in community development and environment. Her passion has seen her join other youth-led movements advocating for climate action. These include Earth Guardians, YOUNGO, United Nations Environment Programme Major Group for Children and Youth and the Disaster Risk Reduction Working group at MGCY. Through her co-founded initiative, Youth Arts Mentorship Initiative, Muthoni hopes to use her acting skills to inform the Kenyan youth about climate change.
Additionally, Muthoni is a Youth Compact Champion under the Resources Task Force. She played an active role in the design, implementation, and monitoring of the 2020 Youth Fund: COVID-19. She successfully mentored two grantees, Uthabiti Health from Kenya and Teach for ASEAN from Myanmar. She credits working with organisations such as Physicians for Human Rights and HIAS Kenya for her new perspectives regarding humanitarian action.
